An extraordinary discovery was made public on May 25, 2025, exactly 80 years after the end of World War II (1940-1945). Frans H.J. Sindorff (1916-x) was found alive at his family's residence in Hoenderloo in 1949, the Netherlands, after being declared missing by the International Tracing Service (N.R.O./I.T.S.) during World War II .

A postal card between his father and family in law reveals that Frans is feeling better, and feels himselves really at home (not 'hein') and will have with patience good times soon..
