Food stamps. There was less food and people were starving (WW-II 1940-1945). The 'hunger winter" 1944-1945 was caused also by operation Market Garden severe.

Enforced (reduced) labor at AEG factory after hiding Jews calling sick, released sooner.

Release note

After the war was over Simon fled back to Holland, being hit by a bombardment in Hengelo. From the hospital in Enschede a release note and a picture of all the man with whom Simon was forced to work with in Berlin (arbeideinsatz) to recollect memories.

From the two Jewish children Doffie en Max Konijn Simon received a reward in 1985 as they survived the war hiding thanks to Simon.
