Lomstraat, Venlo 1739 - feasibly bakery Cornelis Sindorff located Lomstraat,

Cornelis Sindorff (Lindorf) or Cornelis Michiel Sindorff, was born 8 November 1774 in

(Mühl)Bracht (Mulbracht/Brüggen) son of Michaelis SINDORFF (1726/1731-1811) and Anna Getrudis LEPELMANS, deceased Venlo 8 march 1852.

In Lomstraat near the Geldensche Poort in Venlo Cornelis bought a house and bakery and lived and worked from 1796 as a baker in his own bakery for the Kessel community in the Land of Kessel, within the Holy Roman Empire, under Emperor Napoleon, who appointed his brother as first King of Holland, Louis or Lodewijk, Prussia and from 1815 Holland, called the Netherlands.

Non of his children seem to became baker, maybe Petrus, however, his grandchild did. Peter Godfried Hubertus Sindorff, also called Piet, had on the street Parade a bakery and moved to Nieuwstraat in Venlo, expanding the business or a new startup.

Lomstraat, Venlo 1932 seen from the other side about 200 years later. Archive HCL Limburg.

Cornelis married April 5, 1796 Venlo with Anna(e) Catharina(e) Kuijpers (Cuijpers), baptized in Echt April 9, 1769, who deceased Venlo June 10, 1825, daughter of Peter Kuipers, Cuijpers (1733-1774), son of Joannes- (1696-1748) and Catharina Winnings (*-1763) and Anna Gertrudis Raemaeckers, Ramakers, Echt, (1733-1809) daughter of Willem, Wilhelmus Ramakers (1689-1774) and Helena Theunissen). It does not look like the most famous Pierre Kuiper, architect of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, but could still be related further away.

These documents right are related to Cornelis Michiel or Michael Sindorff, born Venlo 3 march 1802 deceased in Tudderen, Prussia (now Germany) on 26-03-1850, shortly before his father passed away in 1852 and left ƒ 800,- behind as legacy 1/4 or ƒ 200,- for his father Cornelis and 3/4 or ƒ 600,- for his brothers and sisters and their partners. This signatures similar. Clearly a tragedy.

Cornelis left behind the house and bakery on Lomstraat neary the Geldensche Poort, Venlo.
