Frans Hendrik Jacob Sindorff, at ITS as Franny or Franz Sindorf, was born in Watergraafsmeer, the Netherlands (Europe) on 29 november 1916, deceased (unknown: N.R.O.: National Tracing Register), being the fifth child, of his father Franciscus Raimond Henricus SINDORFF (1880-1952) and his mother Anna Maria HAGEMEIJER (1879-1970). Siblings were his older sisters Anna Hendrina Elisabeth Sindorff (1907-1992), Antoinette Caroline Maria Sindorff (1908-x), Maria Jacoba Francisca Sindorff (1910-1988) and brother Karel Hendrik Raimond Sindorff (1911-1985)
The family lived during the time that the 1st World War, between 1914-1918, took place, even though the Netherlands was neutral, the 2nd World War between 1940-1945 did effect the family, Frans is still missing to date known at ITS the Haque, report at Arolson center (note: under Sindorf)

At the age around 16 years and 1932 Frans graduated on the Weteringschans 161 in Amsterdam for H.B.S. (Hogere Burger School) Higher Citizen School; at the time always abbreviated to H.B.S. or HBS, was a Dutch form of higher secondary education. This picture from the public archive of Amsterdam. H.B.S. on the left side.

On April 4, 1935 the military records confirms suitability. His parents are living separated from table and bed. Also, asides 3 years HBS education, including lessons in German and English, skills were trade calculations and bookkeeping.
The preference of Frans was 1: air force or marine/aircraft maker, most suitable 2: aircraft or marine/aircraft maker and less suitable for 3: -
Appointed: 1. corps: Marine, 2 ganizoen: 1st devision, 3 time of incorporation: 22 Feb-3 March 1936: 4 date of incorporation: 2 March 1936.
notes: registered based on art II, 3e lid, b Dienstplichtbesluit: "can be missed" Placing asap 2 Jan 1936, October 1936 great leave.

Frans moved to city centre, Pr. Hendrikkade in Amsterdam. In 1939 the World War II started and May 1940 a German invasion took place in the North part of the Netherlands including bombing of the marine harbor in Den Helder and the airport in Bergen. Also invasion in Amsterdam. Unlikely that he was hit at the harbor being in hospital Hattingen in 1941.
Frans took part in several newspaper competitions and won on several occasions in 1940. He became a designer and was a member of a employee's union that was part of the N.S.B. It is written and published that he, maybe in addition, became an N.S.B. member. As a result, he was investigated as a political delinquent and excluded from prosecution.
It is unknown where he was a designer. It could be that he became a fashion designer, but that is uncertain. The dress manufactured by Sindorff N.V. shows a complex own design published under his sister's blog Maria Jacoba Francisca Sindorff. The N.V. limited company had several owners. Maybe Frans too but then again he would not be a part of a employee's union.
1941: Frans may have been picked up by the German's for the labor "einsatz" ending up wounded and treated at the hospital in Hattingen for 10 days; from 21 January until 1 February. At that time it was more or less voluntarily, however, being occupied it is not. His German language skills may have triggered in addition to being healthy and fit until a sever incident . March 1942 it became obliged and from may 1943 all man between 18-35 were obliged to work, pending punishment for not obeying including raids, to work in Germany.
December 1941 the N.S.B. became the only allowed political party in the Netherlands. You would think that if Frans was put as 'volunteer' in labor "einsatz" in January 1941 and N.S.B. membership was only obliged/allowed from December 1941 that Frans would be a pro German activist. The family originally from Prussia, later Germany, it is possible, but not likely. He had his own home, family close,.. unlikely unemployed having these skills and sources being a designer, in war a marine and then to be a 'volunteer'/paid craftsman at Smitz in Germany does not add up.

It is clear that Frans did not escaped war effects. Young men where put into forced labor "Arbeid einsatz" mostly in Germany where he was registered to work at Gebr. Schmitz during the World War II from march till April 1941, after hospitalization in Hattingen.
To date it is unknown what happened with Frans or where he deceased. He was not married and had no children. His oldest sister Rie donated all her assets to the Red Cross as said likely in order to also find Frans back or maybe she did, but did not speak about it to other family members. The World War II has caused people to be silently still in shock often unable to speak. As a result, the next generation still in the dark on some or a lot of issues.
Frans is registered at the National Register Deceased (N.R.O.), I.T.S. International Tracing Service.
