Peter Godfried Hubertus Sindorff, called Piet, was born in Venlo, duchy Limburg in Prussia, now the Netherlands (Europe) on 29 January 1847, deceased Venlo 29 April 1922, being the fifth child of his father Willem Antoon Hubert Sindorff (1811-1889) and his mother Maria Lucia Sax (1810-1866). Siblings were his older sister Angelina Maria Hubertina Sindorff (1840-1840) and brothers Karel Antoon Hubert Sindorff (1841-1896), Frans Peter Hubert Sindorff (1843-1905) and Jan Caspar Hubert Sindorff (1845-1923) and younger brother Michiel Cornelis Hubertus Sindorff (1849-1919) and younger sisters Catharina Maria Hubertina Sindorff (1850-1851) and Elisabeth Hubertina Maria Sindorff (1851-1933).
Some of the family members lived during the time that the World War I took place, between 1914-1918, even though the Netherlands was neutral, living so close to the Belgium border the family must have experience effects. World War II did effect children of the family members at the end of the War II, by natural cause or War effects and after Peter passed away.

Cornelis Sindorff, grandfather of Peter, had a bakery on Lomstraat near the Geldersche Poort in Venlo. Cornelis's son Petrus may have taken over the bakery but deceased in 1868. Therefore it is to believe that his grandson Peter Godfried Hubertus may have took over the bakery and moved to or set up a different location or had expanded the family business.
