How spectacular to see a grass snake in the backyard pond hunting for snacks. And the frog that was there before was eaten. The grass snake had visibly noticed me and decided to attack. The grass snake is not dangerous and non-venomous and loves water. That was not yet known. Very exciting. The grass snake has been nationally protected since 2017 and has a vulnerable status. Earlier I came across something in the garden that looked like some kind of eggs or something that looked like mushrooms, those were the eggs of the grass snake! I could not even imagine that those were from a snake. A real snake pit for real. I'm not really worried, the hedgehog loves grass snakes and that one is here too. Amazing to have seen the grass snake in its natural environment.
